A Bit of Background

We live outside of St. Louis Missouri in a close knit community on a private lake and golf course. I have 4 dogs and 4 children. We have 2 rescue cats and 4 adult British Shorthairs. I have been taking in and rehoming stray cats and dogs since I was 4 years old. My parents weren't crazy about it but they were very understanding. My love for animals continued into adulthood. My husband is a 12 year Marine vet and works in the city of St. Louis. To this day he brings me strays that are malnourished and mistreated. My interest in British Shorthairs came about long ago when my husband brought a 4 week old BSH home from the city. After nursing the kitten back to health I learned everything about the breed that I could. British Shorthair cats are loving, low shedding, loyal cats that desire human contact. They warm to people once they become familiar with them and bond closely with their humans. They show loyalty to all the members of the family, rather than just one person. They are also great with children. You can expect your new family member to come to you very well loved, socialized, pre-spoiled, and playful.
